Mobile apps your customers and staff keep using

Some work happens away from a desk: a customer reordering, a technician closing a job on site, a salesperson logging a visit. We build mobile apps for that work, on Android and iOS, backed by the same data as the rest of your business.

Overview

About mobile app development

Most business apps fail quietly. They are built as a separate project, hold their own copy of the data and fall out of step with the office systems within months. We build apps as part of your wider system: one backend, one set of business rules, the same records whether someone opens the app, the portal or the admin screen. Where a responsive web app would do the job just as well, we will say so, because it is cheaper to build and maintain.

Illustrative interface, not a client system
Is this for you

Does your work need an app?

Usually a good fit for

  • Businesses whose customers reorder, book or check status often enough to want an app
  • Companies with field staff who currently report back by phone, WhatsApp or paper
  • Teams that need to capture photos, signatures, barcodes or locations on site
  • Businesses with a working web portal that customers now ask for on their phone
  • Startups that need a reliable first version of their product on both platforms

Signs it is time

  • Field updates arrive as WhatsApp messages and photos that someone retypes later
  • Customers call to ask for order or service status they could check themselves
  • Work on site is recorded on paper and reaches the office days later
  • An existing app is slow, crashes, or has not been updated in years
  • The app and the office system show different numbers for the same thing
What we build

Apps we build

01

Customer apps

Ordering, booking, account and status apps for your customers, with push notifications and secure sign-in.

02

Field staff apps

Job lists, checklists, photos, signatures and location capture for teams working on site, synced to the office.

03

Internal business apps

Approvals, attendance, stock checks and reporting on the phone for managers and staff on the move.

04

Cross-platform builds

One codebase for Android and iOS, so every change ships to both platforms at the same time.

05

Offline-capable workflows

Data captured without a connection is stored safely on the device and synced when the signal returns.

06

App store release and updates

Store listings, review submission and ongoing releases handled under your own developer accounts.

Included as standard

What's included in every app

  • Cross-platform development for Android and iOS from one codebase
  • Secure sign-in with OTP, email or company accounts
  • Push notifications for status changes, reminders and approvals
  • Camera, barcode, signature and GPS capture where the work needs it
  • Offline storage with conflict-safe sync
  • One shared backend and API with your portal and admin screens
  • Role-based access so each user sees only their own work
  • Crash reporting and usage analytics from launch
  • Releases published under your own Play Store and App Store accounts
  • A matching web version where a browser is the better fit
  • 30-day bug-fix warranty after launch

Not included: third-party fees such as Apple Developer Program and Google Play developer accounts, hosting, push and SMS (OTP) services and maps usage. These are billed to you directly at cost and estimated in the quote.

How an app project runs

Typical timeline: 8 to 16 weeks, depending on scope and how quickly access and content arrive.

  1. 012-3 days

    Understand the users

Who opens the app, where they are, what they need to do in under a minute and what currently goes wrong. This decides the screens more than any design choice.

  2. 021-2 days

    App or web app

An honest recommendation on whether a native-feeling app is needed or a responsive web app will serve, with the cost of each.

  3. 031-2 weeks

    Design the key flows

The main journeys designed as clickable screens and tested with real users before development begins.

  4. 044-10 weeks

    Build in phases

Backend, API and app developed together in reviewable phases, with test builds on your own phone from the first phase.

  5. 051-2 weeks

    Test on real devices

Checked on a range of Android and iOS phones, screen sizes and weak network conditions, not only in a simulator.

  6. 061-2 weeks

    Store release and handover

Published to the Play Store and App Store under your accounts, with documentation and a plan for updates.

Business benefits

What an app changes in daily work

What tends to happen, not a guarantee.

  1. 1

Updates from the field arrive as they happen

Jobs closed, photos taken and signatures captured on site reach the office immediately instead of at the end of the week.

  2. 2

    Fewer status calls

Customers check orders, bookings and requests themselves, so your team spends less time answering the same questions.

  3. 3

Proof of work captured on site

Photos, signatures and timestamps recorded in the app settle questions that used to turn into disputes.

  4. 4

    One change, both platforms

One cross-platform codebase means a change is built and tested once and ships to Android and iOS together.

  5. 5

    An app you own

Code, store accounts and data are in your name, so you are never locked to us to keep the app alive.

Questions

Mobile app development FAQs

Not covered here?

Ask us directly
Do we need a mobile app or will a website work?

Often a responsive web app is enough, and it is cheaper to build and update. An app is worth it when users open it many times a week, need notifications, or need the camera, barcode scanner or offline access. We will recommend the simpler option when it does the job.

Android, iOS or both?

Usually both, from one cross-platform codebase. If your users are almost all on Android, which is common for field teams in India, we can launch there first and add iOS later from the same code.

How long does a business app take?

A focused first version with a few core flows is typically eight to twelve weeks including design, backend and store release. A larger first release takes up to around sixteen weeks, delivered in phases so the most useful part reaches users earlier. The proposal gives a specific timeline.

What does it cost to run an app after launch?

Our fee covers the build, with a 30-day bug-fix warranty after launch. Separately, Apple and Google charge for developer accounts, and hosting, push notifications, SMS for OTP sign-in and maps usage are billed by those providers. They are in your name, paid at cost, and we estimate them in the quote.

Can the app connect to our existing software?

Yes, if that software can share data through an API, database access or scheduled exports. We assess this during scoping and tell you what is possible before the quote.

Who publishes the app on the stores?

We handle submission and reviews, but the app is published under your own Google Play and Apple developer accounts, so the listing and its users belong to you.
